Cancellations extend further into the future



As the pandemic expands, staying home with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and grocery delivery has become the order of the day. Recently announced theater closures and postponements include the following.


Remaining performances of The Onion Game and and the upcoming production of The Cherry Orchard at the Irish Classical Theatre Company are cancelled. (So far, Drama at Inish is still on for June).


All UB Department of Theatre and Dance rehearsals and productions have been cancelled for Spring 2020. For the latest information about UB’s preparedness and response to the pandemic visit www.buffalo.edu/coronavirus.


Remaining performances of Hand to God at Road Less Traveled have been cancelled. Their April 4th Screen to Stage reading of Beverly Hills Cop is postponed until fall 2020. Their production of The Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence has been postponed and will be produced as part of RLTP's 2021-2022 season.


Remaining performances of The Outsiders at Theatre of Youth are cancelled.


The Shaw Festival has cancelled all public events through April 30, 2020 and all non-essential business operations are shut down until April 6, 2020


The Stratford Festival has cancelled performances from April 11 to May 2, 2020.


Remaining performances of The Dance on Widows Row at the Paul Robeson Theatre are cancelled.


Edward Albee's Three Tall Women at Second Generation Theatre is cancelled.


Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf at New Phoenix has been postponed until next season.


Evita at Starring Buffalo, to be performed at 710 Main has been postponed until November 6-7, 2020.


Buffalo Quickies at Alleyway are tentatively still scheduled for March 26 - April 11th.


GeVa Theatre in Rochester has postponed announcement of its 2020-2021 season until next week and it will be done online, not at a press conference.
